How to Use the Days Percentage Calculator

This tool helps you track progress through a project, semester, or any period measured in days. Simply enter the total number of days and how many have been completed. The progress bar updates instantly, and you can also drag the red cursor to adjust the completed days visually.

Formula

The percentage completed is calculated as:
Percentage = (Completed Days / Total Days) × 100%

Remaining days = Total days – Completed days. Weeks are computed as floor(days / 7).

Example

If you have a 30-day project and you've completed 15 days, you are 50% done. The calculator also shows you have 15 days left, which is about 2 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this for weeks instead of days?

Yes, simply treat weeks as days. The tool will still give you weeks completed and remaining based on 7-day weeks.

What if I enter more completed days than total days?

The calculator automatically caps completed days at the total, so the percentage never exceeds 100%.

How accurate is the weekly average?

The average weekly progress is calculated as (percentage completed) / (weeks completed). If weeks completed is zero, it shows a placeholder.

Does it account for leap years?

No, this tool treats days as simple units. For exact calendar progress, use the Date Range Percentage tool.
